Fart: Is it just a matter of flatus?

The first impression if you see this title above, you might be envelopped by a big question: why did I pick that silly topic??? Do I begin to run out of more useful topics?? etc... etc... etc... Well I would like to say I can understand what you have in mind but please hold on your words until you finish reading this posting, in the end, it will not be like what you think. Ok? Shall we begin?

For most of us, fart is nothing but a foul smelly gas that comes from our anus. Because it comes from our opening in an always hidden lower part of our body, farting is mostly considered a taboo especially in the east. But do you know that one day I came across a website that contained a scientific article about farting. Am I kidding you?? I am not. In another part of this planet, scientists are trying to discover a secret about the sensor that works within our intestinal system! Here is the excerpt of the article:

By now you only know that farting is just gas that passes out through your anal opening. When the sphincter muscle in your anus finished trumpeting the gas out of your anus, the business is done! as simple as that! But do you know that the sensor in your rectum that can differ a flatus from a stool is a very complicated proccess?? The sensor in the system is taught to contrast between a stool and a flatus so if the sensor feels the presence of the flatus in the rectum, the sensor will tell the brain to let out the gas instantly! Meanwhile in the other case, the sensor will tell the brain to tell the sphincter muscle not to let the stool escape the place to give you time to rush to the loo! But occassionally if the stool is too juicy, the sensor can be easily fooled and it can tell the brain to let it out even though it might turn your romantic night into a disaster! Yet... your rectal sensor is very intelligent.... it can learn from the experience... so at any time in the future the sensor meets the same case, the sensor will be more alarmed and will save you another romantic night from another disastrous event!

So far, engineering is still trying to mimic such system to make it applicable for our daily life. Even though the complicated system in the rectal system is still beyond our present day engineering capability, engineers and scientists are sure that if we can mimic the system we will benefit a lot from it for the humankind.

Okay that's all for now. My message is.... please don't always look down on something dirty because God doesn't create something for nothing. No matter how dirty something is, it can still have treasures that lie hidden! Wassalamu 'alaikum wr wb.
