Optical Illusions

As I run out of a topic today, I would like to present something else for you. This is all about optical illusions. I have been always enjoying optical illusions since the first time my dad bought a book on it when I was a kid. I hope you will enjoy the illusions that are playing tricks on your eyes and your brain!

1. THE PINK DOT
To make this illusion work for you, you have to click this picture below to make the picture animating. Then you have to follow these steps: First, you have to follow the movement of the encircling pink dots for a while (for about ten seconds). Second, now stare at the sign '+' at the centre. Keep staring at it! After a while you will see a green dot moving around the '+' sign. That's it. 2. NONE IS THE BIGGER
Now look at the dots in the centre of each group! It will leave an impression on you that the central dot at the right group is bigger than the one in the left! Well, it's wrong! Both of the circles' diameters are of the same length!
3. HORIZONTAL VS VERTICAL
Those zig-zagging thicker vertical lines are trying to fool you optically. Those thicker vertical lines are very dominant that they give you a false impression that the horizontal lines are also zig-zagging or sloping. Well, again it's wrong, those horizontal lines are completely straight! Check it yourself!

4. THE SHRINKING GREY SHADE
Now keep staring at the black dot at the centre. After a while the grey shade around the dot will appear to shrink until it 'almost' disappears. That's because as you focus on the central dot, your brain starts to ignore the image of the surrounding! As your focus is away from the central dot, the grey shade will reappear in no time.

5. THE COLOUR
Now try to say the COLOUR loud and fast! Don't say the word but say the COLOUR! I wonder how well you can do it. If you are 'educated' you will find difficulty to do it but if you are an illiterate or if you are a non-Roman-alphabet reader you will find it easy to do. Now if I replace the words with the ones in French or Swedish, can you do it better? For me, if those words are written in Arabic, I can do it very well since I don't know Arabic much. Hehehe....

Ok folks, I hope you enjoy the optical illusions above. That's all for now.
Wassalamu 'alaikum wr wb.
